OUR STORY
Guava Grove Resort & Villas was not created to be a typical hotel—it was born from a woman’s deep love for Honduras and the captivating soul of Roatán. Cheryl, its founder, in 1990 wrote in her journal “Buy Land in Honduras” – a distant memory that was forgotten but her life path led her to where the universe knew she belonged. She came to the island for her first time in January 2006 with imagination and drive and she has never looked back. What she saw here wasn’t just beaches or coral, it was resilience, joy, and dignity in every hardworking family, fisherman, taxi driver, and entrepreneur who makes Roatán breathe. She created Guava Grove as a tribute to that spirit: a place where people could rest, connect, and feel the quiet magic of the island. Every corner of the hotel reflects her intention—to honor the simplicity, beauty, and authenticity of Honduras by offering honest, warm hospitality rooted in local values.

What makes Guava Grove special is not just the comfort of its villas or its natural setting surrounded by gardens, it’s that it was designed to feel like Roatán itself: peaceful, grounded, and real. Cheryl insists on working with local people, supporting island families, and representing the true face of Honduran service.
